Club Rules for your Enjoyment & Safety
1) Please be on time for class by showing up about 5 minutes early. During this extra time you can chat with friends or do some light stretching.
2) Please wear a clean, school approved uniform each time you are on the training floor. If you have forgotten your uniform , or require another, please see a staff member before class time.
3) In martial arts training we work in very close quarters. Please be certain at all times that your body and clothes are clean, that you have showered and that you are wearing the appropriate amount of deodorant. It stinks to workout with someone who stinks! For everyone’s benefit, please keep it clean.
4) JEWELRY: Is a huge "no-no". No jewelry ever. If you have a ring or other jewelry that you absolutely, positively cannot remove, you must tape it flush against your body with athletic tape. No Exceptions!
5) PERMISSION: Ask for permission to step on the mat from the instructor (or assistant). Wait for them to address you. Always bow before entering or exiting the mats.
6) Line up properly in rank when class starts and ends.
7) No street shoes may be worn on the mat. Only martial arts shoes, socks, or bare feet are allowed. Headgear, boxing gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads are also allowed.
8) Respect yourself and others. We are here to promote health, well-being, and personal growth for all students. Please keep this in mind at all times while training in or out of the school.
Safety Rules
Make sure you have warmed up and stretched out before attempting any full blown technique.
Use proper safety gear (headgear, knee pads, mouthpiece, groin protector) when sparring.
Any maneuver that puts stress on the neck and/or head area should be performed with extreme care. Slamming the head and/or neck is strictly forbidden.
If you are sick or injured, it’s your duty to inform the instructor to ensure that you do not further injure yourself in training.
Exercise caution and responsibility at all times.
